The first Oxford BFRB Conference will be taking place on 13-14 September 2024 at the University of Oxford. Tickets are available for both in-person and online attendance.
The conference is open to everyone - people with BFRBs and their loved ones, scientists, clinicians, and all interested people.
Day 1 is our Research Conference. The day will be filled with research talks, expert panels, and lived-experience stories. Featuring speakers such as:
Prof Robin Dunbar (Professor Emeritus of Evolutionary Psychology)
Prof Matthew Rushworth (Professor of Experimental Psychology with a focus on how the brain makes decisions)
Dr. John Piacentini (Clinician and Researcher who specialises in the treatment and research of BFRBs)
Aneela Idnani (Founder of Habit Aware)
Pavitt Thatcher (Co-founder of BFRB UK & Ireland, and Clinician specialising in treating BFRBs)
Day 2 is our Community Day, where people with BFRBs and their loved-ones can connect in a safe and supportive environment. There will be talks, support groups, mindfulness sessions, art classes, and much more!
